The banks are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and exchanging money is an easy affair. Even a good hotel or travel agency can convert your money to Leke so that you may enjoy the beautiful Albania at its best. You may sight-see with your family and can even carry your pet along with a written certificate from your veterinary practitioner stating that a rabies shot has been administered. As a foreign tourist, you need not pay for medical services at any local clinic or hospital as Albania strongly promotes tourism.

Travel and Tradition

For tourists, the local mode of transport in Albania is taxi, bus or even a minibus. Trains are also available if you would like to enjoy the scenic beauty of Albania. If you wish to hire a car and drive around the countryside, you will need a valid international license and a license from your own country to successfully rent a car. Albania is a country rich with art, culture and tradition and you can experience this in every corner of the country. There are famous traditional folklore with songs and dances and even puppet festivals to keep tradition alive.
